Buyout Diary – Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2025

Welcome to Buyout Diary, an independent publication authored and managed by Alexander Kelm in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
By subscribing, reading, or supporting this publication, you agree to these Terms of Service.
They exist to protect both you as a reader and me as a creator — so everything is transparent, fair, and clear.

1. About Buyout Diary

Buyout Diary is a digital publication and newsletter exploring entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA), small business ownership, and long-term investing in the UK and Europe.
It is published on Substack, which provides the technical infrastructure (hosting, subscription processing, and email delivery).

All content is written by Alexander Kelm, unless otherwise stated. Guest posts or interviews will always be credited accordingly.

2. Purpose and Nature of Content

The information shared on Buyout Diary is for educational and informational purposes only.
It does not constitute:

  • Financial advice

  • Legal advice

  • Tax or investment recommendations

Readers are encouraged to seek independent professional advice before making business, legal, or financial decisions.
While every effort is made to ensure accuracy and relevance, no guarantee can be made that the information is complete, current, or applicable to every individual situation.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

There are three types of subscribers:

  1. Free Subscribers – Receive public articles and updates.

  2. Paid Subscribers – Gain access to members-only posts, deep dives, and resources.

  3. Founding Members – Support the publication at a higher level and may receive early access to tools or behind-the-scenes updates.

All payments are securely processed by Substack and Stripe, not by the author directly.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Substack account settings.

Refunds are generally not provided for completed subscription periods, but reasonable requests will always be considered.
